Today is another thursday. Yet it was a re-letter day for me as we were going for shooting. At about 12.00pm sharp, just after recess, my friends and i changed into our No.4 uniforms and fall in immediately infront of the Ncc Land Room without any hesitation. After declaring our belongings (inc. handphone, cameras and electronical devices, PSPs), we flew to the foyer and boarded the bus in a single file.
After a spot headcount, the bus set off for our destination in a jiffy. The bus journey was quite long, yea. After some time, we arrived at the the army camp(i.e the SAFRA). There were a lot of army vehicles, soldiers patrolling the area carrying M-16s, etc. It was an interesting sight indeed. The place was buzzling with activities. Security was also very tight i.e. there were many security checkpoints. A lot of time was used up to pass the security checkpoints.
Soon, we arrived at the place where the shooting ranges were situated. After a short brief/introduction of what we were going to do and our aims and goals of this event. After what seemed like eternity we strode into the shooting range in anxiety as well as a rush of exhilaration. The two instructors there told us that 2day, we were going to get hand's on experience on handling the M-16, SAW(i.e machine gun), and the SAR 21(a very accurate and precise weapon). I was in high spirits and unable to contain my excitement
We were placed in a virtual, war-stimulating gameplay environment. The sound effects were also very realistic and 'shiok'. We were given the feeling of partcipating in a real war. We also experienced the thrill of ambush. I was enthralled. It was more like playing ghost recon or brothers of war.

So we had lots of fun 'playing' with the rifles. For the first time in my life I managed to shoot 3targets. A miracle! FInally i had mastered the skill of shooting. Great! So the day passed like a breeze. In the end, there was a competition between the two shchool there and our school won. That was awesome!
Later after some time, we arrived back at school.^^It was a long day indeed, i muttered to myself.
