At about 2.45pm, my parents and i set off for school with mixed feelings. Firstly, i felt that our teacher would appraise me for my hardwork. Yet, on the otherhand, the fear that our teacher may chide me for my gaming habits still lingered in my mind. Nonetheless, i was going to find out soon....I hope it does not turn out to become a disaster!
In the twinkle of an eye, we arrived at our destination and we hurried for the classroom as fast as our legs could carry us as we were about 10minutes late due to long waiting time for the bus. My parents complained that climbing up to the fourth story was no easy feat. I feel it is true to a certain extent as we were panting heavily, beads of perspiration streaming down our foreheads.
Upon our arrival at the classroom, we sat in the table inside the classroom where we waited for our turn. There were some newspapers there for my parents to overcome their boredom. During that time, Mrs Ritu was meeting Faraaz's parents.
"You better cultivate your reading habit" my ears prickled to hear a piece of the interesting conversation. Faraaz nodding his head sheepishly... thats what everyone does right?
Not long after our turn came and Mrs Ritu greeted us with a welcoming smile. We sat on our seats and the conversation began.
Referring to my report book, Mrs Ritu congratulated for my good results and told me there was room for improvement for my Science and Literature. She informed my parents that learning Shakespearean language was not easy to interpret. She encouraged me to read more books as it can improve my English. I nodded my head in embarrassment as reading had never been associated with my life. When my parents told Mrs Ritu about my gaming habits, her eyes widened and she gasped in astonishment. She said she never knew until now that i played computer games. Nevertheless, she told me to balance work and play and appealed that i continue my studying during my holidays. This was followed by a long, boring lecture about other aspects where there were need for improvement and i nodded my head like a robot. Soon, the meet was over and we waved goodbye and set off home.
In conclusion, i feel the meet was not bad as i had anticipated and it helped me realize areas where i need improvement. Yet, on the contrary, I felt that my parents mention about my gaming habit was not really necessary as I've managed to curb my playing time and increased my studying time. After all, life is full of both good and bad times. There are always postive and negatice aspects in everyting. Being optimistic and positive minded combined with relentless hardwork is the key to achieving success, both academically as well as other 'stuffs'. LOLz

Pasir Ris Seashore Trip

My classmates and I headed for the Pasir Ris Seashore and a shocking, terrifying sight awaited us. The seashore was so dirty and clogged with old bottles, straws(many), packets of snacks, plastic bags and many other rubbish. It was indeed a great shock that Singapore, famously known as a clean and green city by many tourists, has dirty, polluted seashores. These rubbish thrown into the sea by inconsiderate and irresponsible Singaporeans pose a serious threat to the marine community. Marine creatures such as turtles are greatly harmed by the infinite number of plastic bags shoved into the sea. Turtles, birds may feed on them and may die. This also affects the food chain as the destruction of one creature leads to the depletion of another, causing a huge decline in fish, a main source of protein for we people. As a result, we are also indirectly affected by our irresponsible actions. So, to play our part to preserve Singapore's one of the few remaining nature spots, we collected rubbish from the shore and disposed them in plastic bags. The shore was filled with several kinds of interesting stuffs such as toothbrushes and tyres. The plastic was completely filled and it was very heavy. It was a harduous, back-breaking task carrying the bag to the nearest dustbin. However the task was done and we heaved a sigh of relief.

NCC Land May Camp
Here's a short brief of my Ncc Land May camp:
Day1-Fall in at 2pm sharp. It was quite a rush as i took 2 long to finish packing my bag. I left home 7minutes beftore 2.00pm and hailed a taxi and headed for school frantically. What a rush it was! Hopefully, as lady luck was on my side, i made it at 2.00pm sharp(sighs!). First of all, there was a bag check and digital/electronical devices including handphones, cameras were confiscated. Bottle drinks e.g were also banned(what a pity!). No 100-plus, coke, pepsi etc. sad...
We were divided into 8 groups, each assigned to a leader. i.e.ICs. For lunch we had maggi-mee. It was indeed a new experience, cooking my own meals.
Day 2- We went to Mac Ritchie Cemetry. To make things spookier, it was a dark, cold, windy night. Our company set off, with me and my buddy leading the way. We were the first pair and so it was good luck to us. Soon, we headed into the cemetry in pairs. The surroundings were pitch-dark and all my eyes could make out was a dim-lighted, shadowy path upon which our feet treaded upon. The surroundings were enveloped by absolute darkness, the bright moon in the ink blue sky was our only source of light that would come in hand for us to find our way. So, staying close to one another to avoid getting lost, we just went straight and followed the path, avoiding viewing the sides which were filled with abundant tall, big trees. The dim, pale-yellowish moonlight fell on their crowns, casting unknown, mysterious shadows moving here and there stealthily. So we headed on our worst nightmare and we just prayed that a celestial being from heaven would guide us on our way. During our journey, we encounted several challenges and barriers. After what seemed like eternity, we arrived at our destination. After moon-gazing for quite a long time, we headed back for school, rubbing our tired, blurry eyes. We heaved a sigh of relief and were glad we made it. This thrilling and 'shiok' experience will linger on in my mind forever and these terrifying moments will haunt me as long as i live.
Day 3-We went on Land-Ex(in short for land expedition). After replenishing our food and drinking supplies, we set foot on a long and tiresome journey. Starting from our school, we departed for several destinations such as SengKang and Ank Mo Kio and many other places which are very far from our school. The dreadful thing about this is we that could only walk and not take any public transport. So it was indeed a very hard task which challenged both our physical as well as mental abilities. Our legs were weak and weary and beads of perspiration streaked down our foreheads, our faces burnt by the hot,burning,energy-draining rays emitted by the massive ball of fire lying on the horizon, which created a pinkish glow in the azure blue sky filled with magnolia blue clouds. Despite all the hardships we faced, we finally managed to become the second team to reach our destination. Even though we were not the first team, our hard-work and determination need special mention. Combined with teamwork and encouragement, we achieved success, as we saw it as. This incident has reminded me of our school's well-known, famous, inspiring motto: Labour Omnia Vincit(Labour conquers all)
Finally ,at around 10 am, we were dismissed after cleaning our respective locations and a water-parade. The foyer was filled with hordes of frantic parents like a can of packed sardines. I headed home by bus and arrived home, sweet home. The NCC May camp has finally come to an end.

The Results!
The long-awaited reults have arrived and there is a tinge of joy as well as disappointment for some in the atmosphere. Basically most my results were quite well. I had done better than i expected in History. Of course, i spent hours studying History. In Mathematics, i managed to score equally well as Huang Hao (our class genious), even though Wang Hao and I were beaten by B-Hoon and Adam(cries!). Science, well, ok la, 78. I lost one mark o sad....thanks to class chairman Bee-hoon! Literature..erm..62 i think that's ok as the highest is only 70. 62 is still above the average mark(oh yeah!). Bee-hoon seems to be on the lead to become the top big-brained boy in the class. Maby u can add Adam to the list. He did well for most of the subjects, especially Mathematics and Science need no mention. On the overall, i feel my results have been quite satisfactory as i was able to surpass my targets. There is still one more subject to be considered and that's Mother Tongue. If lady luck was on my side, maybe i can beat Bee-hoon in Mother Tongue. I heard from some of my friends that Bee-hoon was poor at Mother Tongue. I hope i do better. Cheers!
